This validation study titled: “Development and Validation of the Healthcare Worker Adolescent-Friendliness Scale (HAFS) for Assessing Adolescent-Friendliness Among Pediatric Staff in the Philippines” aims to develop and validate the HAFS, a self-assessment tool to measure the adolescent-friendliness of pediatric staff in the Philippines. Participants will complete an online questionnaire, which takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. To participate, you need to be: • A pediatric resident who has been in training for at least six (6) months in hospitals with PPS-accredited pediatric residency training programs; or • A pediatric consultant, whether a general pediatrician or a subspecialist, who is currently working as an attending physician in a hospital with a PPS-accredited pediatric residency training program, including graduates of pediatric residency training, regardless of board certification and status of PPS membership; or • A pediatric consultant, including a pediatric residency graduate, who is undergoing fellowship training • Capable of reading and understanding the English language • Capable of accessing the online questionnaire in Google Forms and completing the form independently • Able to provide informed consent Benefits/ or information you want to highlight by participating in the study. Participants will help in developing a novel self-assessment instrument that measures the adolescent-friendliness of pediatric consultants and residents. Participants may directly benefit by gaining valuable insights into the expected adolescent-friendly attitudes when caring for adolescent clients. Additionally, it will allow them to have increased awareness and a clearer understanding of their attitudes toward adolescent clients, which will allow them to improve their pediatric practice and delivery of adolescent-friendly health services.
